Note: Qiu Yanzhi (1910-1980), Taicang, Jiangsu. Trained under dealer Zhu Heting; expert in porcelain connoisseurship. In 1945 connected with British dealer A. W. Bahr (Erbold?) via Wu Qizhou; ran export consignments; in 1946 founded Qiu Yanzhi (aka Qiu Yanzhi Wenwanhui) at 44 Songshan Rd., served as supervisor of the Shanghai Antique Trade Association. Later operated in Hong Kong/Switzerland with major collections; passed away in 1980; estate sold through Sotheby's Hong Kong/London.
