A British sterling silver soup tureen. The oval body is decorated with grooved patterns and scroll-shaped frames on both sides containing raised coats of arms. The right shield features a chevron with three crosses; the left depicts a quadrilateral castle. A crown and tent motif sit above the crests. The tureen features a pressed dome lid with matching grooved and engraved patterns, topped by a reed-patterned handle with leaf motifs. Two additional side handles feature reed and leaf decorations. The piece is supported by four large legs adorned with curled leaf and floral patterns.
